When You Feel Stretched Thin

There are times I find myself doing too much…

as if I’m in a marathon and I have to win the race to get the prize.

But I’ve come to realize—

life isn’t a race.

And you don’t have to run like it is.

You don’t have to pass every runner

or stop at every station

just to feel accomplished.

You don’t have to do every project today,

accept every invitation,

or take care of everything—and everyone—on your own.

Because when you keep stretching yourself…

something begins to give.

If you stretch a rubber band long enough, it eventually breaks.

The difference is—you can always replace a rubber band.

But there is only one you.

So slow down.

Take a breath.

Get some water.

Let others pass you if they need to.

You are not behind.

You are not failing.

You’re learning how to move at a pace that actually sustains you.

And that…

is where your strength really lives 💛
